The La Serva stream rises in the stubble of the Champ du Feu at an altitude of over 1000 m, then flows into the Rothaine at the Haute-Goutte. Along this route, losing almost 500 m in altitude, La Serva forms several waterfalls.
According to legend, a fairy, the Demoiselle de La Serva, lives in the clear waters of the stream. A fairy with silky green hair like the grass at the bottom of the stream, dressed in a silver dress. Beware of those who do not respect nature, when the fairy gets angry, a north wind blows over the Vosges peaks!
Several hiking trails lead to the waterfall.
