New exhibition at the Memorial: "Resistance in the feminine - Avoiding dehumanization".
This exhibition, designed by students at Strasbourg's Lycée Jean Rostand, highlights the lives of women who resisted and were deported. Through personal accounts, archive documents and artistic creations, it explores how, in a context of violence and deprivation, these women used appearance and adornment as means of resistance and preservation of their dignity. The exhibition also features imaginary silhouettes of six female resistance fighters, inspired by Yves Saint Laurent's "Quarante" collection, the fruit of research and creative work by the students.
