The tourist office team

The house of all Bruchois

At 114 Grand'Rue in Schirmeck

The image we have of a tourist office usually looks like this: Smiling people behind a counter distributing documentation to tourists, welcoming and providing information to visitors... This is both true and completely different !

Hospitality is our core business, meeting and sharing human beings is a passion that drives us. In addition to these human qualities, we also have a range of skills and the use of digital tools. At the Bruche Valley Tourist Office our goal is:

  • To make our guests' vacations an exceptional moment, through the quality of our hospitality, personalized advice, and the invitation to seize the moment while limiting its impact
  • To involve each resident in this process, to make it an ambassador of the destination, and the beneficiary of tourist activity through the economic but also human benefits, linked to the richness of the encounter...

For this, we are betting on quality collaborators and we take the same care in attracting new clients as we do in attracting solid skills. As proof, welcome booklet of the new entrant.

Raphaël GUGUMUS

Director of the tourist office

My biography
Originally from the south of Strasbourg, the Bruche Valley was a choice of the heart, but also a practical challenge. After graduating from a chemical engineering school and spending eight years in the petrochemical industry, the pull of human interaction, and my attraction to the valley and its heritage, led me to the tourist office, aligning my professional aspirations with my personal values. "I am proud to now be a Bruche Valley resident by choice, a storyteller at the Wildersbach Youth and Culture Center, and the tourism director for this region, which I am dedicated to promoting."

His missions
As director of the tourist office, he retains his interest in artificial intelligence, but even more so in the intelligence of systems and human relationships. His conviction: to build the best trajectory for the future of tourism in the Bruche Valley, taking into account the climatic, economic, and tourism-related changes that are constantly reshaping the sector. To achieve this, he brings together and unites everyone from private accommodation providers to starred hotels, convinced that it is together that the region will progress the furthest.
