“Welcoming is in our nature”
Isn't the first gesture of hospitality to offer water?
A call is therefore launched to all... traders, restaurateurs, accommodation providers, visiting sites, municipalities, associations, businesses and residents, to join the network « Hel'eau La Bruche ».
The objective is to create a network of geolocated water points where visitors will have the opportunity to fill their bottles for free during opening hours of public places or, depending on availability, with residents, thus creating a “water chain” of La Bruche.
Did you know?
If, at home, recycling has now become part of habits and well-organized collection circuits, the waste that has the most impact on our environment is that which we produce outside our homes. This is demonstrated by the traces left here and there in nature which, beyond visual pollution, are far from being without consequences for humans, animal and plant species. In this context, the “best waste” is that which is not generated.
So, at a time when water points are becoming scarce and the supply of drinking water to public fountains becomes uncertain in summer, the quest outside the home for this precious resource that is water, can be prove complicated or impactful.
As temperatures rise in summer, the Bruche valley, land of hikers and cycle tourists, wonders how to respond to this vital need.
Let's play !
A sticker with a QR code for water bottles which allows you to know water points by geolocation, on the one hand, and a sticker on mailboxes to signal each other, on the other hand, will allow both parties to find each other and recognize yourself.
If this idea appeals to you, we suggest you join the “community of Bruche water suppliers”.
To venture even further...
Maintaining and developing these access points as places of hydration and refreshment for walkers is a environmental issue.
