Stage 5: RIBEAUVILLE - CHAMP DU FEU
Distance: 135.1km / Ascent: 3619m
This mountain stage starts in Ribeauvillé and quickly plunges riders into the Vosges mountains. After a valley start, the route gradually rises towards Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines, before a series of climbs to Lièpvre, Fouchy and Ville. The second part of the stage becomes more selective with the crossing of the Col de la Charbonnière, followed by a series of steep climbs around Belmont and Le Bambois.
The finale is a long, demanding climb to Champ du Feu, ideal terrain for climbers and overall favourites. With several short but steep passes and ramps, this stage has a significant vertical drop and requires excellent effort management.
