Heritage, a very broad concept, does not only concern castles, it goes from Neapolitan pizza to works of art. But how can we define it, what constraints and what assets does this heritage imply? With the example of the Palais universitaire de Strasbourg (historical monument and registered in the UNESCO perimeter), a unique example of university heritage from the Wilhelminian imperial era, we will see how heritage can be alive and must be protected.
