Guided tour of the Protestant church, whose bell tower, classified as a historic monument, is the oldest in the Bruche valley. Inside you will discover the wall paintings which present a coronation of the Virgin and several figures of saints and the nave, rebuilt in 1776 to be more in line with Protestant worship. The church of Fouday is especially linked to the personality of Pastor Jean-Frédéric Oberlin, who led its reconstruction and who rests in the adjoining cemetery. On the iron cross which surmounts his grave, we read “Papa Oberlin”, testimony to the recognition of his parishioners for his social, educational and spiritual work.
