Born in Toulouse, Leïla has been hypersensitive to music since childhood, she learned to sing by listening to Aretha Franklin, Nina Simone, Billie Holiday, or Edith Piaf... musical worlds that transport her, inspire her , and quickly, his voice sparkles and develops a unique timbre, grooving between soul, jazz and Gospel roots. As a teenager, Leïla discovered and practiced dance, but at high school age, opted only for music then stayed in New York where she joined several training courses. Back in France, she was admitted to the University of Strasbourg in musicology. There she met musicians from all walks of life, perfected her singing, and tried her hand at the violin.
