This is a legendary site, as rich in history as it is in legends. A magnificent place where it's a pleasure to let your gaze wander along the blue line of the Vosges Mountains. The Donon massif is a unique place, whose role as a link between the Rhine plain and the Lorraine plateau has been steadily growing since prehistoric times. Also worth discovering on site are the orientation tables installed by the Club Vosgien Schirmeck section, which celebrated its 140th anniversary in 2019.
Meeting point: 14 pm at Schirmeck-La Broque train station. Departure: 14:30 pm from the orientation table at the Col du Donon (near the Hôtel du Donon) in Grandfontaine. Return around 16:30 pm.
