Catherine, pastry chef and guest house mistress. Her story: Catherine always delighted her family and loved ones with her sweet treats. In 2014, thanks to a family inheritance, a beautiful Vosges farm, the opportunity presented itself for Catherine, from a banking background, to leave her rather hectic life and swap the 2-piece suit, the client portfolio and investment products in exchange for the spatula, an apron and the tranquility of a village of some 500 souls. And Catherine never does things by halves... she is capable of getting up in the middle of the night to redo an icing that she didn't think was successful. She therefore embarked on a CAP in pastry which she passed with flying colors. And it was in 2015 that she opened her themed and ultra cozy guest house in Saulxures with her husband Thierry and inaugurated her pastry workshop. Catherine by Catherine: "I like to welcome my guests as we like to welcome our friends. I found in this small village in the Bruche valley a healthy environment, proximity to nature and an authentic setting where people can discover and share my passion. There is designer “haute gourmandise” in the air...
