Exceptional opening of the synagogue of Schirmeck in the framework of the European Heritage Days.
Built in 1906 according to the plans of architects David Falk and Émile Wolf, the synagogue testifies to the presence of a large Jewish community until the middle of the 20th century. Renovated on the outside, the building with a centered floor plan has its entrance door on the side that makes room on the street facade for a large thermal window that frames the tablets of the law. Take advantage of this unique opportunity to tour the synagogue's interior.
Tours are conducted throughout the day during opening hours by enthusiastic volunteers.
