Built on the site of the former Saint-Sébastien chapel, the current Saint-Georges parish church is the result of two separate construction campaigns. The neoclassical-style porch tower was built from a project by the principal engineer of the Bridges and Roads of Lower Alsace, Desbordes, between 1776 and 1785, while the nave and the choir, in neo-Gothic style, were completely rebuilt from 1846. The three stained glass windows created by the Strasbourg glass painters Baptiste Petit-Gérard, Ritter and
Muller that adorn the choir are part of a set of eleven, commissioned in 1848 by the mayor Joseph André, the priest Florian Reiber and the industrialist J.-B. They represent, in the central stained glass window, the two patron saints of the church, Sebastian and George and the Trinity surrounded by the fathers of the Church: Augustine, Jerome, Ambrose and Gregory.
