Home » Shortcode model » Christmas concert: José-Geraldo de Lima

Of Brazilian origin, he began his musical training at the Sao Paulo Conservatory with Maestro Flavio A. Garcia.
A graduate of the Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris in the class of Claude CALES, he perfected his skills at the Mozarteum Academy in Salzburg and in Germany he participated in the prestigious MAX REGER festival in Weiden in Bavaria. His passion for the Lied led him to give several concerts on this theme in German-speaking countries. In 1991, he presented the cycle "Die schöne Müllerin" in Bienne in Switzerland, and in 1996, the cycle "Die Winterreise" at the Villa Fleck in Ingersheim. A member of the choirs of the Opéra National du Rhin from 1990 to 2012, he also performed soloist roles, notably in Tarare, Cappricio, Les aventures de M. Broucek, Die Entführung aus dem Serail, Romeo et Juliette and Show Boat. An eclectic artist, José-Geraldo de Lima also brings together a large audience around Gospels and Negro Spirituals. He has also composed a Christmas cantata and a Latin mass: "Missa romantica" (Romantic Mass).
