Seat of the Lordship of Ban de la Roche, Château de la Roche is owned by the Rathsamhausen zum Stein. The castle built in 1180 gradually became a den of ransomers. It was, for this reason, besieged in 1469 and destroyed by the Duke of Lorraine and the Bishop of Strasbourg, who then prohibited its reconstruction. Access: From the village, follow the yellow cross to the castle. Allow half an hour's walk. See the map
