Michel Muhr, beekeeper and manager of the Colroy la Roche bee centre. His story: his passion for the fabulous insect began when Michel was 4. 8 year old Michel checked his protégés were in good health using his microscope. His parents, Strasbourgers through and through, were passionate beekeepers and looking for an unspoilt transhumance area to set up their bee colony in 1966. After their search, they settled in the Bruche Valley. So it's only natural that after working hard in the emergency services that Michel would move to Colroy la Roche in 2009 to enjoy his retirement, his queen and worker bees. Michel on Michel: "You may not know it but bees make 2 types of honey: one that feeds the stomach and one that feeds the soul, as bees are behind the greatest stories, the creation of the world, nature as well as art, poetry and philosophy." Michel loves to share his passion so hearing and watching him takes you into the fascinating world of this multi-talented little creature...
